For the lady who isn't used to taking note for travel, it seems needed to record something by words for the journey, being kind of struggling for this.

Taking the first personal leave since there's holiday for Diwali, just go to the SMALL village which takes twelve hours by bus to reach. (See, India is pretty huge, once you want to cross the state, it starts to take over 10 hours to reach.)

The detail information for transportation and cost can all be found by Internet. As the official first trip in India (New Delhi last year and Matharan two months ago are not counted as "trip," since one is the whole day hang out on several streets, another takes one day only...). Taking a fancy sleeper bus which the air condition is as strong as the one in office, the lady slept next to me on the way to Hotspet covered by blanket totally. Get into the bus at 5 pm and reach the destination about 9 am, then took rickshaw to Hampi.

As the ancient capital, village currently, IT'S SUPER HUGE!
By simple geogrophic concept, it can be separated by Tungabhadra River, there's group of monuments, guesthouses, restaurants, the point connected with transportation station at one side, for another side, it's all cover by paddy fields, several temples, the lake which warning people don't swim due to the crocodile, and shop for renting moto.

Driving along with the paddy fields, there's always huge rocks and paddy, you will feel like the God put too much blue in this village because it's hard to see any cloud.

My past travel experience was preparing all the staff, information, arrangement, no matter it works or not, just go through all the information related.
For this time, just let it go.
Knowing the name of each monument and its history until read the explanation board; even lost the direction in paddy fields, then met up lots of kids who say hi and give you high five (and ask them where's temple at the same time!), and met up with...groups of cows and goats, that is YOU say hey and make way to them.

Feel pretty confusing about how those people can move and build such huge rocks and hills to this place when climbing the hills. Try to imagine that you drive along the area for the whole afternoon, but still not able to reach the end of the rock hills.

Those paddy fields makes me think of my hometown, and the group of monuments reminds me all the thing I ever met in Angkor Wat.

Travel alone, this is one thing, and travel with group of people, that can be another thing, you may experience any kinds of situation during the journey. the blue sky on the paddy fields and the sky full of stars which saw on the river still reminds.
